Possible cause
If you are using
an optional
memory card,
it may be
corrupted or
functioning
improperly.
Different
operating
modes of the
camera require
different power
levels.
Extended

View
or video
recording,
excessive flash
use, and
excessive
zooming
consume a lot
of battery
power.
The lithium ion
battery you are
using was
recharged
incorrectly.

Solution
Remove the memory card and see
if you can turn on the camera. If
you can, then the problem is most
likely with the memory card.
Either attempt to format the
memory card (see
(Memory/Card)
replace the memory card.
