Tally Enable
Setting is required
Tally Type : G1 to 8, R1 to 8
Enable :
Enable → Tally is created all the time.
Tally type :
Disable → Tally is not created all the time.
Tally Input → Tally is created depending on the tally input status.
Input # :
It selects which port shall be used when the Tally Input selected.
It also selects which of either DCU1 or DCU2 is going to be used.
The port number in the range of 1 to 102 can be selected.
Setting example : When No. 2 port of DCU1 is going to be used.
For the system 1

Set the tally type and the output conditions of the MVS-8000 outputs (virtual terminal numbers) that you
want to display the tally.

Because this system does not use tally, the setting is not necessary.

Set the tally type and the output conditions of the MVS-8000 outputs (virtual terminal numbers) that you
want to display the tally.
Setup example : For the system 3
System : MVS-8000 x 1 unit, router x 1 unit (8 x 4)
1. When P/P PGM is assigned to 1 using the menu Page 7333 Engineering Setup → Switcher →
Output, OUTPUT 1 (virtual No. 12) of the MVS-8000 becomes the final output of P/P PGM. Put the
red tally to the source of the crosspoints that are connected to this Destination. Select Enable in order
to turn ON the tally at all times.
2. When Outputs 2 and 3 (virtual No. 13 and 14 ) of the MVS-8000 are output to VTR for the simulta-
neous recording of the on-air program with VTR or for the recording with slow motion VTR, put the
green tally to the source of the crosspoints that are connected to this Destination. Set the Enable item
so that tally turns on only when VTR is going to be used as the output. In this case, set the tally
Enable so that tally turns on only when the Tally GPI In of the DCU receives a signal (when it is on)
from the Tally/GPI Output of VTR.
