4.3 Cleaning or replacing the plate heat
exchanger
V Disconnect the boiler from the mains power supply.
V Drain the system (
page 36).
V Remove the condensate trap and the syphon
( page 36).
V Remove the two screws of the plate heat exchanger
( fig. 76).
V Remove the plate heat exchanger (
V Hook up a descaling device and clean the plate heat
exchanger.
V Thoroughly rinse the plate heat exchanger before reas-
sembly.
V Replace the o-rings when necessary.
V Open a hot water faucet to rinse and purge the system.
V Close the hot water faucet and reconnect the boiler to
the mains supply.
