Blow Down Valve
.
To prevent foaming or sudden
release of pressure, allow 10
minutes after shutdown before
opening the compressor oil dip-
stick/fill cap or performing other
compressor maintenance.
To control the release of air mixed in
the compressor oil (while running),
the compressor goes through a
blow down cycle when the com-
pressor is turned off or the engine is
stopped. The blow down valve
slowly discharges the pressure in
the compressor.
NOTICE − Air dryer must be by-
passed when ambient temperature
is below 325F (05C).

Stop engine, and let cool.
!
Disconnect battery negative
(−) cable.
!
Wait ten minutes for air pres-
sure to release before begin-
ning installation.

1/2 NPT x 1/2 JIC Adapter

Air Compressor Outlet

Compressor Outlet Nipple

Compressor Outlet Elbow Fit-
ting
Disconnect compressor hose from
separator. Disconnect adapter from
outlet; retain parts for reinstallation
as needed.
Install nipple and elbow into outlet.
Connect compressor hose to el-
bow.
