Inspecting the Cutting Unit

Parts needed for this procedure:

Cutting unit
Procedure
Remove the cutting unit from the box and do the following:
1. Check each end of the reel for grease.
Note: Grease should be visible in the reel bearings
and internal splines of the reel shaft.
2. Ensure that all nuts and bolts are securely tightened.

Review the material and save it in an appropriate place.

freely and does not bind when moved back and forth.

Removing the Tipper
Assemblies
No Parts Required
Procedure
Remove the tipper assemblies (if so equipped) from the
number 1, number 2, and number 3 lift arms to avoid
interference with the carrier frames of the cutting units.

Use
Inspect the cutting unit.
Remove the tipper assemblies.
Mount the lift brackets and chains.
Use the kickstand when tipping the
cutting unit.
Adjust the rear shield.
Mount the counterweights.
Install the cutting units.
