into the filler tube and slowly add the additional oil to
bring it to the Full mark (Figure 46).

5. Start the engine and drive to a flat area. Check the
engine oil level.
Changing the Engine Oil Filter
Note: Change the engine oil filter more frequently when
operating conditions are extremely dusty or sandy.
1. Drain the oil from the engine; refer to Changing the
Engine Oil.
2. Place a rag under the oil filter to soak up any spilled oil.
Important: Spilled oil may drain under the engine
and onto the clutch. Oil spilled on the clutch
may damage the clutch, cause the blades to stop
slowly when the clutch is switched off and cause
the clutch to slip when the clutch is switched on.
Wipe up any spilled oil.
3. Change the engine oil filter (Figure 47).
