When working with systems and boards, make sure you observe the
safety information in the

Preparation

In the majority of cases it makes sense to remove the basic unit from the rack
to replace non-hot-pluggable components.
Removing the basic unit from the rack

CAUTION!
Because the PRIMERGY BX600 S3 basic unit is large and heavy,
at least two people are needed to safely mount it in the rack or
remove it from the rack.
Before you remove the basic unit from the rack, remove the server
blades, the power supply units and the fan units to reduce the weight
of the basic unit.
Observe the safety precautions and notes on installing the basic unit
in the rack in the
Ê Exit all applications and shut down the server blades correctly.
Ê Press the on/off button on the front of the basic unit to switch it off.
Ê Unplug the power plugs.
Ê Make a note of the positions of the individual server blades in the basic unit
for reinstallation.
Ê Remove all server blades, power supply units and fan units from the basic
unit (see Operating Manual).
