Format
• None
• Single Sheet Documents: use this when the documents in your job
consist of only one sheet of paper. The scanner will increment the
Document number for each sheet of paper scanned. i5650/i5850
only.
• Multiple Sheet Documents: use this when the documents in your
job have multiple sheets of paper and you want to track each sheet
within each document. When the scanner detects a Patch 2 sheet,
the Document number is incremented and the Sheet number is set to
0. However, if the first page scanned is a Patch 2 sheet and the
starting Sheet number is 0, then neither number is changed. This
allows you to place a Patch 2 sheet before your first document and
not have it affect the document's number. i5650/i5850 only.
• DCN/DLN/Bates Numbering: use this when the documents in your
job have multiple sheets of paper and you only want to track the
document's number. When the scanner detects a Patch 2 sheet, the
Document number is incremented. However, if the first page scanned
is a Patch 2 sheet and New Job was On, then the number is not
changed. This allows you to place a Patch 2 sheet before your first
document and not have it affect the document's number. i5650/i5850
only.
• Image Address: allows you to set an image address starting point.
The scanner will increment the image address based on how you set
up the image address rules on this tab. This is only available on the
i5850 Scanner.
NOTES:
• When Image Address is selected as the Format on the Indexing tab,
the options on the Patch/Batch tab will be available.
• For options other than None and Image Address, when you select a
Format, the Printer Template is automatically updated with the
Document and, if available, the Sheet value. If On was not checked
on the Imprinter tab, it will automatically be turned on.
