AIR INTAKE SYSTEM

Air Filter box Draining

Periodically inspect air filter box drain
tube for liquids or deposits.

4. CVT cover
NOTE: If vehicle is used in dusty area,
inspect more frequently than specified
in MAINTENANCE CHART.
If liquids/deposits are found, squeeze
and remove the clamp. Pull drain tube
out. and empty it.
CAUTION: Do not start engine
when liquids/deposits are found
in the drain tube.
When liquids/deposits are found, the
air filter must be inspected/dried/re-
placed depending on its condition.
Remove air filter as explained below.

Air Filter Removal

CAUTION: Never remove or modify
any component in the air box. Oth-
erwise, engine performance degra-
dation or damage can occur. The
engine carburetion is calibrated to
operate specifically with these com-
ponents.
Remove seat.
Release clamps and remove air filter
box cover.
