PERIODIC SERVICE

ENGINE OIL

To avoid personal injury:
A Be sure to stop the engine before
checking and changing the engine
oil and the oil filter cartridge.
A DO NOT touch muffler or exhaust
pipes while they are hot; severe
burns could result. Always stop the
engine and allow it to cool before
conducting
maintenance, or cleaning.
A Contact with engine oil can damage
your skin.
Put on gloves when handling engine
oil. If you come in contact with
engine oil, wash it off immediately.
A Be sure to check the engine oil on a level surface. If
placed on gradients, oil quantity can not be measured
accurately.
A Do not operate a diesel engine when engine oil is
overfilled. This can effect the air intake system which
could result in engine damage or malfunction.
BChecking Oil Level and Adding Engine Oil
1. Check the engine oil level before starting or more than
2. Remove the oil level gauge, wipe it clean and reinstall
3. Take the oil level gauge out again, and check the oil

(1) Oil port
(2) Oil level gauge
5 minutes after stopping the engine.
