Table 6-68 RIP Interface Menu Options (/cfg/l3/rip/if)
Command Syntax and Usage
trigg disable|enable
Enables or disables Triggered Updates. Triggered Updates are used to speed convergence. When
enabled, Triggered Updates force a router to send update messages immediately, even if it is not
yet time for the update message. The default value is disabled.
mcast disable|enable
Enables or disables multicast updates of the routing table (using address 224.0.0.9). The default
value is disabled.
default none|listen|supply|both
Configures the default route action.
metric <1-15>
Configures the route metric, which indicates the relative distance to the destination. The default
value is 1.
auth none|password
Configures the authentication type. The default is none.
key
Configures the authentication key password.
enable
Enables this RIP interface.
disable
Disables this RIP interface.
current
Displays the current RIP configuration.
