with
the
armature
engaging
the clutch
sleeve
stop lug
and
the
back
stopper located
in
the
recess
of
the
lift
cam, check
for a clearance
of 0.007 inch to 0.02 inch
(0.2
mm
to 0.5
mm)
between
the projection of the clutch
sleeve
and
the projection of the
lift
cam.
(1)
Loosen
the
two
screws
which
hold
the solenoid bracket.
Adjust
the bracket
(front to
rear)
to
attain
the desired clearance
as
outlined above.
(2)
While performing
this
adjustment
you must
also
maintain
a
clearance bet-
ween
the solenoid
bracket projection
and
the
sides
of the
lift
cam
and
ribbon
down
cam
(Refer
to
Fig. 6.3).
(3)
Once
the
adjustments have
been made,
turn the
nylon
gear clockwise
and
counter-clockwise
several
times
to
ensure the alignment
is
proper.
Check
to
see that
the projection
of
the
ribbon
down
spring contacts the projection
of
the solenoid bracket
at
its
approximate
center.
