Changing the burn plates (fig. 6)
1. Lift up the log retainer and remove it.
2. Lift up a side burn plate (A), tilt it slightly and pull it
forward. Repeat the procedure for the next side burn
plate. The rear burn plate is fixed with a screw in the
centre (B). Remove the screw and take out the burn
plate in the same way.
3. Remove and replace the defective burn plate, following
the removal procedure in reverse order.
4. Ensure that the insulating sheets on the burn plates are
intact before they are installed, and that the log retainer
is guided into the groove on the side burn plates.

Changing the base plate

See: Changing burn plates, for information on how to
remove the burn plates.
When all of the burn plates have been removed, lift the
base plate up a little. Hold it at an angle and retrieve it
through the door.
Changing the baffle plate (fig. 6)
1. Remove all three burn plates (see Changing burn plates).
2. Remove the screw (C) holding the baffle plate (D) to the
bracket at the top front edge.
3. Support the baffle plate with one hand so that it does
not fall down. The baffle plate is now loose and can be
lowered and rotated out through the door.
4. When assembling, follow the same procedure in reverse
order.

Changing the glass

1. Remove the screws retaining the glass clips and push
the glass gently towards the gasket. Before changing
the glass, the gasket must be replaced.
2. Remove the old gasket and clean the gasket groove
before the new gasket is glued. Apply a thin line
of ceramic glue to the whole length of the gasket
groove.
3. Position the gasket without stretching it.
4. Push the new glass gently onto the gasket. Fit the clips
and secure in place with the screws.
5. Tighten the four screws in diagonal sequence. To avoid
any damage to the glass, ensure that it does not come
into contact with the cast iron.

Changing the door gasket

1. Remove the old door gasket and clean the gasket
groove. Apply a thin layer of ceramic glue to the whole
length of the gasket groove.
2. Place the gasket into the groove without stretching
it. Close the door carefully and keep it closed until the
glue hardens.
