Using a handset:

Notes:
If Off is selected, Power Fail Back-Up mode will
not be enabled.
If Auto is selected, the registered handset(s)
will display Out of range OR no power at base
and Put HS ON base to power base alternately
when mains power interruption occurs. Place the
handset with suficient battery power (usually
not lower than level 2) onto the main base unit
to activate Power Fail Back-Up and start up the
base. If handset is already on the main base unit it
will automatically activate the Power Fail Back-Up
mode (if it has suficient battery power) and start
up the base. If AUTO is selected and handset is
not returned to base unit within approximately
 minutes the handset will temporarily revert to
Manual mode to converse battery power.
If Manual is selected, the registered handset(s) will
display To power BS Press TALK-OFF when mains
power interruption occurs. Press OFF/CLEAR and then
place the handset onto the main base unit to activate
the Power Fail Back-Up mode and start up the base.
