Never leave the appliance unattended, and use it with
the greatest of care if children or persons who cannot
assess the risks are nearby.
People (including children) who are unable to safely
operate the appliance on account of their physical, sensory
or mental abilities or their lack of experience or knowledge
should only use this appliance under surveillance or
instruction of a responsible person. Store it so it is
inaccessible.
Packing material must not be used to play with. There
is a danger of suffocation.
Only use the cylinder vacuum cleaner in the household for
vacuuming normally dirty floors and for furniture as well
depending on the brush attachment chosen (accessories).
Any other use is considered non-intended use and is
prohibited.
The following is prohibited in particular:
Do not vacuum:
- hair, fingers and other body parts. They could be
pulled in and injured.
- pieces of clothing (e. g. scarves, etc.). They could be
pulled right in and cause injuries.
- hot ash, burning cigarettes or matches. These can
cause fire.
- pointed objects such as glass fragments, nails, etc.
These objects destroy the filter.
- water and other fluids, especially damp carpet
cleaning agents. Internal dampness can lead to a
short-circuit.
- toner (for laser printers, copy machines, etc.). There
is a risk of fire and explosion.
- plaster, cement, etc. The filter can become blocked.
Do not use near explosive or easily flammable
substances. There is a risk of fire and explosion.
Do not use in the open-air. There is a risk of the
appliance being destroyed by rain and dirt.
Do not push objects into the openings of the appliance
while it is running. The appliance could overheat.
Do not convert or repair it yourself.
Never operate a defective appliance or an appliance
with a defective cable. If the mains cable of this appliance
is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturers, their
authorised service representative or a similarly qualified
person to avoid danger to the user.
Bring or send defective appliances to a specialist dealer
or to Royal Appliance Customer Services for repair.
