and remove any installed batteries.

To avoid ESD, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by
periodically touching an unpainted metal surface on the computer.
Removing the Hinge Cover
1. Follow the instructions in
2. Use a nonmarring tool to loosen the hinge cover at the back and at each side of
the computer.
3. Open the display and lift off the hinge cover.
