Optional accessory: Quick-Set Tension Kit

The Quick-Set Tension Kit replaces the machine's tension knob. It shows the top tension setting as a
numeric value on a display. After you establish the tension setting for a particular thread (brand, weight,
and color), record the value so you can easily return to that tension setting when using that specific thread
again.
Tension Quick Start Guide
Bobbin adjustments are made in small increments,
like ticks of the clock.
1. Always adjust bobbin thread tension first. Then
stitch out to check top tension.
2. If top thread looks like Diagram A
Problem: The top thread tension is too tight.
Solution: Loosen the top thread tension by
turning the tension knob counterclockwise.

If top thread looks like Diagram B
Problem: The top thread tension is too loose.
Solution: Tighten the top thread tension by
turning the tension knob clockwise.
