The clock or timer setting is canceled.
The AC power cord (mains lead) is
disconnected or a power failure
occurred. Set the clock (page 24) and
timer (page 49) again.
There is no sound.
Adjust the volume.
Check the speaker connections
(page 20).
Check the connection of the optional
equipment, if any (page 20).
Turn on the connected equipment.
There is no audio output during
Recording Timer.
Unplug the AC power cord (mains
lead), then plug in the AC power cord
(mains lead) again and turn on the
system.
There is no microphone sound.
Adjust the microphone volume.
Make sure the microphone is
connected to the MIC 1 or MIC 2 jack
on the subwoofer correctly.
Make sure the microphone is turned
on.
No TV sound is heard from the
system. "CODE 01" and "SGNL ERR"
appear in the display panel.
This system supports 2-channel
Linear PCM formats only.
Check the audio output setting on
the TV and change it to PCM output
mode if automatic mode is selected.
Check that the speaker output
setting on the TV is set to use
external speakers.
There is severe hum or noise.
Move the system away from sources
of noise.
Connect the system to a different
wall outlet.
Install a noise filter (commercially
available) to the AC power cord
(mains lead).
Turn off surrounding electrical
equipment.

You can hear a noise from cooling
fans when the system is in standby
mode or playback at low volume.
This is not a malfunction.
The timer does not function.
Check the timer setting and set the
correct time (page 49).
Cancel the Sleep Timer function
(page 49).
The remote control does not
function.
Remove the obstacles between the
remote control and the subwoofer.
Move the remote control closer to
the subwoofer.
Point the remote control at the
subwoofer's sensor.
Replace the batteries (R03/size AAA).
Move the subwoofer away from the
fluorescent light.
There is acoustic feedback.
Reduce the volume.
Move the microphone away from the
speakers or change the direction of
the microphone.
The color irregularity on a TV screen
persists.
Turn off the TV at once, then turn it
on after 15 to 30 minutes. If the color
irregularity still persists, place the
system farther away from the TV.
"CHILD LOCK" appears when you
press any button on the subwoofer.
Set the Child Lock function to off
(page 50).
A clicking sound is heard when
turning the power on.
This is the operating sound and it
occurs when the power is turned on
or off, for example. This is not a
malfunction.
