Section 3 - Configuration
The access point has a built-in Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) server, which can automatically assign IP addresses to
connected clients that request them. You can only enable this built-in DHCP server when Static IP Address mode is selected.
Enable DHCP
Check the box to Enable the built-in DHCP server function. If
Server:
you already have a DHCP server on your network, do not check
the box to enable this function on the DAP-1665.
DHCP IP Address
Enter the Address Range of the DHCP address pool from which

requesting clients can be assigned addresses. You should ensure
that the access point's static IP address is outside of this range
in order to avoid any IP address conflicts.
Always
Check the box to have the DHCP server Always Broadcast its
Broadcast:
response to clients. This can help to avoid problems when clients
fail to obtain an IP address from the DHCP server.
Gateway:
Enter the Gateway Address which will be sent to requesting
clients.
WINS:
Enter the WINS server address which will be sent to requesting
clients.
DNS:
Enter the DNS server address which will be sent to requesting
clients.
DHCP Lease Time:
From the drop-down menu, select the desired length of time
the DHCP address is leased for.
Dynamic DHCP
This table will display details for the clients which are currently
Client List:
receiving a DHCP address from the DHCP server.
Click Save Settings at the top of the page to save the current
configuration.
