Note
Pins 1, 3, and 4 of switch S1401 on the rear panel of the unit must be
set to OFF (the factory default setting is OFF) to enable utility
software settings. If any of these pins are in the ON position, return
them to the OFF position.

For the method of transferring video/audio signals (AV/C data) to a nonlinear
editing system, refer to the manual provided with the editing software to be used.
By connecting this unit to a computer with an FAM (file access
mode) connection, you can use the utility software (see page 119),
and the PDZ-1 Proxy Browsing Software (Windows only).
Note
The FAM driver (see page 99) must be installed in advance.
