Cleaning the automatic ice maker

Slime bacteria and fungus can become stubborn once they build up.
Clean on a regular basis to prevent slime bacterial and fungus build-up.

Wash the water tank (excluding the purifier filter) with water.
Disassemble and wash each part using a sponge soaked with neutral detergent (dishwashing detergent).
Notes
When using bleach, be sure to follow the accompanied directions.

water tank cap.
Remove the packing

From here
Thoroughly clean the
packing groove as it
is easily dirtied.
Wash the purifier filter with water.

Do not use detergent or bleach.
(Use a soft sponge.)
This may lead, the detergent may accumulate within
the filter or the active charcoal may become ineffective.
Notes
Do not bend or poke with stick, etc.
Do not wash by rubbing.
Ice tray and pipe
If the refrigerator has not been used for a long time, perform "Ice Tray Cleaning".

Mount the filter case.

Press in both side and
remove from the tabs.
Mount the lid.

Remove the tabs by
placing the filter holder
sideways.

Close the water tank cap.
Replacement period of the purifier filter
Normally, replace the filter every 3 ~ 4 years.
Replacement is also required when there is
fungus, rip or odor on the purifier filter.
Contact the Sharp Service Center when ordering
a purifier filter.
Ice making capability will not change even when
the purifier filter is not used.
