Flash Intensity Control
Flash output can be adjusted if you find that your subject to appears overexposed, or is
underexposed even though the exposure in the rest of the frame is just right.

Press the Q button to display the live control,
and select the flash intensity control item using
FG.

Choose the compensation value with HI and
press Q.
Metering

Choose how the camera meters subject brightness.

The camera optimizes exposure for the current scene
or (if an option other than [Off] is selected for [I Face
Priority]) portrait subject. This mode is recommended
for general use.
This metering mode provides the
average metering between the subject
and the background lighting, placing
more weight on the subject at the
center.
Choose this option to meter a small
area with the camera pointed at the
object you wish to meter. Exposure will
be adjusted according to the brightness
at the metered point.
Increases spot metering exposure. Ensures bright
subjects appear bright.
Lowers spot metering exposure. Ensures dark subjects
appear dark.
