Cleaning and care
Important for appliances with
stainless steel surfaces
(This information does not apply to the
controls).
 Stainless steel surfaces can be
cleaned with a proprietary non-
abrasive cleaning agent designed
specifically for use on stainless steel.
 To help prevent re-soiling, a
proprietary conditioning agent for
stainless steel (available from Miele)
can also be used. Follow the
manufacturer's instructions on the
packaging.
Important for the controls
Do not leave soiling on the controls
for any length of time.
Otherwise they may suffer
discolouration or damage.
Remove soiling straight away.
 Please observe the general notes on
cleaning earlier in this section.
Do not use stainless steel cleaning
agents on the controls.

Grease filters and edge
extraction panels
The edge extraction panels and the re-
usable metal grease filters in the
appliance remove solid particles
(grease, dust, etc.) from the kitchen
vapours, preventing soiling of the
cooker hood.
An oversaturated filter is a fire
hazard.
Cleaning interval
Grease which builds up on the edge
extraction panels and grease filters can
harden over a long period of time and
make cleaning more difficult. For this
reason we recommend cleaning the
panels and grease filters every 3–4
weeks.
The operating hours counter will remind
you to clean the edge extraction panels
and the grease filters regularly via the
grease filter symbol  which will light
up.
 You can set the operating hours
counter to suit the type of cooking
you do (see "Operation").
