Fuel Sediment Cup Cleaning

The sediment cup prevents dirt or water that may be in the fuel tank
from entering the carburetor. If the engine has not been run for a long
time, the sediment cup should be cleaned.
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
You can be burned or seriously injured when handling fuel.
Stop the engine and keep heat, sparks, and flame away.
Handle fuel only outdoors.
Wipe up spills immediately.
1.
Turn the engine switch to the OFF position.
2.
Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position.
3.
Remove the sediment cup by turning it counterclockwise.
4.
Clean the sediment cup and O-ring in nonflammable or high flash
point solvent.
5.
Reinstall the O-ring, and sediment cup.
6.
Turn the fuel valve ON and check for leaks.
