Using a cloth with F1 Cleaner or isopropyl alcohol, wipe the Pad in a
downward direction. Be careful not to hook the Pick Springs when
wiping. A dirty pad can cause misfeeds or double feeds.

Wipe both sides of the glass and plastic lightly with a cloth and F1
Cleaner or isopropyl alcohol to remove any paper dust or toner. Dirty
glass can cause vertical streaking when scanning from the ADF.

Using a cloth with F1 Cleaner or isopropyl alcohol, wipe the Pick Rollers
in a horizontal motion. Be careful not to damage the surface of the
rollers. Dirty Pick Rollers can cause misfeeds, paper slippage, or jams.

Using a cloth with F1 Cleaner, wipe the rollers in a horizontal motion
making sure to remove any built up toner or ink. Be careful not to
damage the surface of the rollers. Make sure the rollers are dry before
scanning. Dirty rollers can cause paper jams.

Wipe the Paper Guide (White Reference Strip) area with a cloth with F1
Cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. A dirty or worn White Reference Strip can
cause vertical streaking when scanning in Line (Black & White) Mode
from the ADF.
