Basic Requirements for 24V DC Supply (internal or external)
• Supply via internal ATX power supply connector (Pin 18) or via external DC connector
• Max. DC operating range: 24 V +10%/-15%
• Max. ripple/noise: 400 mV (PP)
• Max. input current: 5 A
• The 24 V DC power supply input of the mainboard D2703-S provides a capacitive load of 700 µF which
has to be covered by the AC adapter respectively the 24 V DC source during power ramp-up.
• Any external AC adapter must be approved according to IEC60950-1.
Restrictions for 24V DC Supply (internal or external)
• In 24 V DC supply mode, the maximum output power available via the D2703-S mainboard connectors
(PCI/PCIe connectors, USB connectors, GPI/O, backlight connector, Firewire™ connector and drive power
connector) is limited. See the table below for the maximum allowed values on the different voltage levels.
• In 24 V DC supply mode, also the maximum capacitive load for the onboard voltage sources is limited. See
the table below for the maximum allowed values on the different voltage levels.
