    Always keep the electrical supply cable away from the blades - be aware of its position at all times. Never operate the machine in the rain or in damp or wet conditions. Moisture creates an electrical shock hazard. Class II - The machine is double insulated; an earthing wire is therefore not necessary.

    5 ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR LAWN MOWERS WARNING: Failure to obey a safety warning can result in serious injury to yourself or to others. Always follow the safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury. Save instruction manuals and review frequently to ensure safe operation and to instruct others who may use this tool.
  • Page 8 Do not tilt the machine when starting or switching on the motor, except if the machine has to be tilted for starting in long grass. In this case, do not tilt it more than absolutely necessary and tilt only the part which is away from the operator. Always ensure that both hands are in the operating position before returning the machine to the ground.

    Upper handle Slide the cable restraint hook (5) onto the upper handle (7). Position the upper handle over the lower handle and align the holes. Push the securing bolts through the holes. Screw on the securing knobs and hand tighten. Hold the cable against the lower handle and pull gently upwards.
  • Page 10 To stop the mower simply, release the brake lever and the mower will stop. ATTENTION : After switching off, the cutting blade will go on turning for a few seconds, make sure the blade has come to a complete standstill. CAUTION: Do not rapidly switch off and on.

    Important: Wear safety gloves when handling the blade. At the end of the season, perform a general inspection of your lawnmower and remove any grass and dirt which may have accumulated. At the start of each season, check the condition of the blade, the connection cable and all electrical connections.
