To replace the line on a GreenWorks 2101000:

1. Remove the spool from the spool cover.
2. Cut one 8-foot (3 meters) length of line and bend it in the middle.
3. Hook the center of the line into location 'd' on the spool.
4. Hold the spool by hub 'a' and wind both halves of the line in the direction of the arrow on the spool.
5. Place one side of the line into slot 'c' and the other side into slot 'b'.
6. Use notch 'e' to temporarily hold the line.
7. Align the line with the metal eyelets and insert it securely into the eyelets.
8. Press the spool cap onto the retainer until it clicks securely into place. Repeat for both sides.

    ELECTRICAL EXTENSION CORDS When using a power tool at a considerable distance from a power source, be sure to use an extension cord that has the capacity to handle the current the product will draw. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage, resulting in overheating and loss of power. Use the chart to determine the minimum wire size required in an extension cord.

Press the front handle onto the power head shaft so that the handle is angled toward the rear handle.
