4 Installation

4.1 Prerequisites

Before installing the appliance, the local chimney
sweep and the gas supply company should be
contacted. Inform the supplier immediately about
damages of the appliance before connecting it.
The appliance must only be installed and commissioned
by an authorized installer who is also responsible for the
compliance with the relevant standards and regulations.
Prior to installation, it is to be checked whether the
values indicated on the data plate – especially the gas
type – correspond to the local conditions.

4.3 Check installation site
The combustion air supplied to the appliance must be
free from chemical materials containing fluorine, chlorine
or sulphur.
Sprays, solvents and detergents, paints, adhesives etc.
contain such substances which can lead to corrosion
(even in the flue gas system) under unfavourable conditi-
ons during the operation of the appliance. The necessary
room size as well as its aeration and ventilation must
comply with the relevant provisions. Please observe the
total weight of the appliance7 when installing it (see
Technical data overleaf). The installation surface should
be horizontal.'.
Attention:
The atmoSTOR VGH classic must only be instal-
led in rooms where persons stay for a while (f.e.
living room, hobbyroom, etc) if a flue sensor is
mounted (accessory).

Installation
We recommend to install the appliance in the proximity
of a chimney in a position that allows
• for sufficient space for removing and installing the
burner as well as the protection anode during the
maintenance work
• that the fittings are easily accessible for operation
Leveling
• The position of the atmoSTOR VGH classic can be
levelled horizontally with adjustable feet.
The carrying means in the appliance base as
well as the bottom clearance of 20 mm allow the
safe transport of the appliance to the installati-
