Setting up the Networ
Setting upthe Network
You can select the Network Type.
1 Press the MENU button.
2 Select Network > Network Setup > Connection Type and press
the OK button.
3 Press the A/Y (arrow) buttons to select Wired or Wireless.
4 Press the OKbutton.
o*,o If you select Wired, see Advanced Netu ork Setup" on page
121.
If you select Wireless, see the next section.

NOVE Continued AP (Access Point)connection is notguaranteed.
Connection maybe lostwhilewatching TV.
There are three methods for wireless setup:
o*.o Easy Setup (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) - ifAP supports Wi-Fi
Protected Setup, this can be used.
o*.o Wi-Fi Protected Setup is a standard designed to simplify
the connection of wireless LAN equipment and the setup of
network security features.
o*.o Assisted Setup (setup using the AP's notification information) -
Network Name, Authentication, and Encryption are decided based
on information from the AP. You need to manually set the Security
Key.
°.*o Manual Setup - requires manually entering all settings.

you usea wireless access pointwith encryption.
¢ WhenEncryption is setto "None",datatransmitted overa wireless
LANis notsecurelyprotected. Unauthorized u sersmayaccess your

encryption settingfromyourToshiba TVandusinga secure network
for wirelessLANtransmissions m ayhelpavoidunauthorized a ccess
