Master Cylinder
The brake fluid in the master
1
cylinder, which is located on the
left handlebar, should be
checked before each ride. There
is an indicator window (1) on the
top of the master cylinder. This
window will appear dark when
the fluid level is full. When fluid
needs to be added, the window
will be clear.
NOTE: When checking brake fluid, the ATV must be on level ground and the
handlebars must be straight. If fluid level is low add DOT 3 only.
Auxiliary Brake
The brake fluid level for the auxiliary brake should be checked before each ride.
The reservoir is located under the seat. The fluid should be kept between the
maximum and minimum marks.
Automatic Transmission Gear Selector Operation
WARNING
Engaging a lower gear when the engine speed is too high could cause the wheels
to stop rotating leading to loss of control which could lead to the possibility of death
or serious injury.
CAUTION
To change gears, stop the vehicle and with the engine idling, move the lever to the
desired gear. Shifting gears with the engine speed above idle or while the vehicle
is moving could cause transmission damage.
The transmission gear selector is located on the
right side of the vehicle. The transmission
selector lever has four positions: high forward;
neutral; reverse; and low forward.
Always place the transmission in gear with the
parking brake locked whenever the vehicle is left
unattended. Shift linkage adjustment is important
to assure proper transmission function. Should
you experience any shifting problem, contact
1-800-643-7332.
