Other problems

Problem
The drying
process goes
on too long or
even switches
off.
* Before starting a programme, switch the dryer off and then on again.
Possible cause
Ventilation to and from the
dryer may be insufficient
(e.g. because it is installed
in a small room). This has
caused the temperature in
the room to rise sharply.
– Detergent residue, hair
and fine fluff may have
blocked the fluff filters
and fine filter.
– The cooling fins may be
blocked.
The cool air intake panel
(grille at bottom right) is
covered.
The fluff filters and the fine
filter were still wet when
they were replaced.
The laundry has not been
spun sufficiently.
The tumble dryer has been
overloaded.
Metallic components, e.g.
zippers have prevented the
dryer from registering the
correct moisture level.
Problem solving guide
Remedy *
Open a door or window while the
machine is in operation for
increased air flow.
– Clean the fluff filters and fine
filter.
– Remove any fluff:
. . . from the heat exchanger
unit at the bottom left (see
"Cleaning and care").
. . . from the cooling fins behind
the grille at the bottom right.
Remove the laundry basket or
other objects.
The fluff filters and fine filter must
be dry before being replaced.
Make sure that your laundry is
thoroughly spun at the
appropriate spin speed in the
washing machine.
Do not exceed the maximum load
for the programme selected.
– Open the zippers next time.
– If the problem occurs again,
dry garments with long zippers
using the Warm air programme
(timed drying).
