    Introduction Features Watchdog Timer The Watchdog Timer function allows your application to regularly “clear” the sys- tem at the set time interval.     Hardware Installation Installing the DIM Module Note: The system board used in the following illustrations may not resemble the actual one. These illustrations are for reference only. 1. Make sure the PC and all other peripheral devices connected to it has been powered down.
  • Page 17 Hardware Installation 5. Grasping the module by its edges, align the module into the socket at an ap- proximately 30 degrees angle. Apply firm even pressure to each end of the module until it slips down into the socket. The contact fingers on the edge of the module will almost completely disappear inside the socket.

    The carrier board used in this section is for reference purpose only and may not resemble your carrier board. These illustrations are mainly to guide you on how to install CA900-B onto the carrier board of your choice. 1. The photo below shows the locations of the mounting holes.

    BIOS Setup Chapter 3 - BIOS Setup Overview The BIOS is a program that takes care of the basic level of communication be- tween the CPU and peripherals. It contains codes for various advanced features found in this system board. The BIOS allows you to configure the system and save the configuration in a battery-backed CMOS so that the data retains even when the power is off.
