Safety Instructions
To make sure that using the CaptionCall phone is a safe and pleasant
experience, please take the time to read all of the information in the Setup
Guide and to follow each of these instructions:
1. The sound volume created by the CaptionCall phone's handset or ringer may
be harmful to you or to others. Please warn anyone who might use the phone
about its potential for loud sounds that may cause hearing damage.
2. Carefully position the phone on a table or another stable place away from
any source of heat or moisture. Be very careful not to drop the phone to
avoid damaging it or causing harm to yourself or to others.
3. Carefully position each of the cables connected to the phone so that they will
not be accidently pulled or tripped on by anyone.
4. Never use the phone near any source of water or while your hands are wet.
5. Use only the power adapter that was supplied with the phone. You should
also use a surge protector to avoid damage from electrical spikes or outages.
6. To reduce the risk of fire, use only No. 26 AWG or larger (e.g., 24 AWG) UL
Listed Line Cord or CSA Certified Telecommunications Line Cord.
7. Avoid using the phone during an electrical storm.
8. Do not use the phone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of the phone.
9. To avoid the risk of an electric shock, do not disassemble the phone.
10. If you experience any problems with the phone, call us for assistance.
