Responding to Problem Messages
From time to time, you may see messages appear on the CaptionCall
display screen that alert you to a temporary problem. Here is a list of the
messages you might see and what you can try doing if you see a message:
Message Explanation
Your CaptionCall account could not be accessed. Some
phone features will not be available until later.
The CaptionCall service is not available. You can make a
non-captioned call now or try again later.
Please check the network connection.
Pick up the handset to dial a number.
Please check the telephone line connection.
Please check the handset to make sure it is securely seated
in its cradle.
A CaptionCall account has not been associated with this
phone. Please call Customer Support at 1-877-557-2227.
You must enter a first or a last name to save a contact.
What You Can Do
You can only make calls without captioning. You
can dial numbers using your Contacts list.
You can only make calls without captioning until
the CaptionCall service is available.
Check your network router settings and all wires
connected to the phone. Resetting your wireless
router may solve the problem.
Pick up the handset. Dial your call.
Check your telephone line for service and all
wires connected to the phone. There may be a
problem with your telephone line service.
Position the handset correctly on its cradle.
Call the number listed on the screen for help.
Enter a first or a last name (or both names).
