Weather (Normal Mode) + WX Alert Watch
When you activate WX Alert for the Weather band, it acts as
a "sleep mode" - The radio stays on the weather channel and
mutes the speaker. If an alert is detected, the radio sounds
an alert tone and turns the speaker back on. Press any key
to turn off the alert tone. This mode is very useful when you
are anchoring for the night but want to keep informed of
hazards.
Keep the radio in the charger when in WX Alert Watch
mode for Weather to keep the power on.
Marine/GMRS (Scan Mode) + WX Alert Watch
If you turn on scan mode while Weather Alert Watch is on,
the radio checks the most recently-used weather channel
every seven seconds, then continues scanning the next
channel in memory:
