Recording Time

Important Message:

The higher the video quality, the clearer the picture. On the contrary, the lower the video quality setting
can provide longer the record time. The record time varies depending on the field size and picture
quality. The following record time tables can be used as a reference. The record time capacity
can vary depending on the image complexity, color, black & white, brightness, contrast, image
movement and background video noise. The actual record time can be more or less than the
given reference tables. On average, it takes an additional 8K per second more with audio recording.
Recording time calculation formula:
A: Hard disk capacity,
B: Video Quality: Low (8Kb/frame), Normal (10Kb/frame), High (12Kb/frame)
C: Recording Frame Rate: 30fps, 15fps, 10fps, 7fps, 5fps, 4fps etc.

For example, at NTSC 720 *240, Quality: Very High: 28Kb/s
Max. 30 fps or 60 field/sec on a 200GB HDD.
200GB x 1,000,000 k/GB)/ (28k/f x 60field/s) = 119047.62 Seconds.
119047.62/3600 = 33.07 Hours of record time for a 200GB hard drive
