OPERATION
PRE_RIDE INSPECTION

If the Pre-ride Inspection is not perforrned,
serious damage ot an accident may result.
Inspect your motorcycle every day beforc
you start the engine. The items listed here
will only take a few minutes, and in the
long run they can save you time, expense,
a nd p ossibly y our lif e .
l. Engine oil level - add engine oil if
requfued (page 33). Check for leaks.
2. Fuel level
fill fuel tank when neces-
sary (pages 19,31-32). Check for leaks.
3. Coolant level
add coolant if required
(pages 36 37). Check for leaks.
4. Front and rear brakes - check opera-
tion; make sure there is no brake fluid
leakage (pages 70 72).
5. Tiies - check condition and plessure
(pages 5-7).

6. Throttle
check for
smooth
and closing in all steering
7. Lights and hom - check that
tail/stoplight, tuln signals,
and horn function properly.-
8. Engine stop switch - check for
function (page 21).
