Reverse the removal procedure, making sure
t h e s p lin e s (3 ) o n t h e fla nge t it into t he rinB
gear (4) on the final drive as you install
the
wheel.
Spread the pinch bolt slot (5) with a flat_btade
screwdrrver. Insert the axle, making sure
tt rs
lree to turn, then place a drift or scr€wdriver
into the left end of the axle to prevent it
from
turting. Torque the axle to 80_100 N.m (8.0_
I0.0 kg-m, 58-72 ftJb). Remove the screw-
ddvers or drift from the axle and pinch
bott
slor, and next torque the Iollowing bolts
in
this order:
l. Final drive gear case attaching nuts:
35-45 N.m
(3.5-4.5 kg-m, 25_j3 ft_lb)
2. Axle pinch bott:
24-29 N.m
(2.4-2.9 kg-m, l7_21 ft-lb)
3. Shock absorber bolt and nut:
30-40 N.m
(3.0-4.0 kg-m, 22-29 frlb)
CAUTION:
* When installing
the wheel,fit the brake disc
between the brake pads carefully.
Afle. installing the wheel, apply the
brake

rotates freely when released. Recheck
the
wheel if the brake drags or if the wheer
