with control during a left turn.
Do not
downthift
when traveling at
a speed that v)ould force the engine to
owrrev in the next lower gear, or cau$e
the rear wheel to lose traction.
Proper shifting will provide better
economy.
When
changing gea$
normal conditions, use the shifting
recommended by Honda as follows:
From lst to 2nd
From 2nd to 3rd
From 3rd to 4th
From 4th to 5th
Shifting Down:
19 Inph (30 km/h)
2s mph (40 km/h)
31 mph (50 km/h)
37 mph (60 km/h)
Shifting partern

From 5th ro 4th 25 mph (40 k.m/h)
From 4th to 3rd l9 mph (30 km/h)
Disengage the clutch when the
dro ps bel ow 9 mp h (15 km/ h),
engine roughness is evident, or
engine stalling is imminent; and
down to ist gear fot acceleration.
