Closed communications

When closed communication is set, fax messages are transmitted and received between
Muratec machines only (excluding some models).
Closed communication can be set separately for transmission and reception.
„ Setting the closed transmission

Press <Menu>.

Press [Setting].

Select "Management", and press [Enter].
If an administrator password is set, enter the password and press [Enter].

Select "Security Communication", and press [Enter].

Select "Closed Transmission", and press [Enter].

Select "ON" to perform closed transmission, and press [Enter].
Select "OFF" to deselect the setting.

Press [Close].
NOTE
• If a passcode is set, faxes can only be transmitted to Muratec machines that also
have a security function and have the same passcode registered. For the passcode
setting, see

• When using manual transmission
