Taking pictures with the
Olympus Wireless RC Flash
System
STYLUS TOUGH-8010/ TOUGH-8010 only
You can take pictures with a wireless À ash
when using a À ash compatible with he Olympus
Wireless RC Flash System. This enables
multi-À ash photography using mul iple À ash
units compatible with this system. The camera's
built-in À ash is used for communication between
the camera and À ash.
For details about operation of a wireless
À ash, refer to the instruction manual for the
special external À ash.

Set the wireless À ash based on the
guidelines below.

Turn on the wireless À ash.

Use the MODE button on the
wireless À ash to set to RC mode,
and make the channel and group
settings. (Channel: CH1, Group: A)

Set [REMOTE FLASH] (p. 37) on
the camera to [#RC], and set the
channel to the same setting as the
wireless À ash.

Select the À ash mode.

Take a test shot to check the
operation of the À ash and the
resulting image.
Be sure to check the charge level of the
camera and wireless À ash before taking
pictures.
Although there is no limit on the number of
wireless À ash units that are set up, usage of
a maximum of three units is recommended
to prevent malfunction due to interference
with each other.
When the camera À ash is set to [#RC],
the camera built-in À ash is used for
communication with the wireless À ash. t

Important information about
water and shock resistant
features
Water resistance: The waterproof feature is
warranted to operate at the following depths for
up to one hour.

The waterproof feature may be compromised if
the camera is subject to substantial or excessive
impact.
Shock resistance: The anti-shock feature

accidental impact incurred from everyday use
of your digital compact camera. The anti-shock
feature does not uncondi ionally warrant all
defective opera ion or cosme ic damage.
Cosmetic damage, such as scratches and dents,
are not covered under he warranty.
