28. Install the slip guide upper frame onto the main sub assembly frame. Align the slip guide
frame nibs in three places.
29. Attach the front support frame to the front frame. Align and insert the three nibs and check,
that the front support frame and the slip guide upper frame are not rising. Fix with six
screws.
30. Tighten two screws on the slip guide upper frame.
31. Attach the slip feed roller shaft holder to the cylindrical platen assembly (only if your printer
has on E/P unit).
32. Hook the slip holder roller spring to the slip holder roller shaft on the D cut side.
33. Insert the slip holder roller sleeve onto the slip holder roller shaft on the D cut side.
34. Attach the slip feed roller shaft holder to the slip holder roller shaft, starting from the side
larger in diameter.
35. Attach the slip holder shaft to the main sub assembly frame using one E-ring.
36. Insert the slip feed roller shaft into the sub slip holder roller and attach with one E-ring.
37. Push the slip drive gears onto the slip holder shaft, starting from the side whose diameter is
largest.
38. Use a pressing jig to press in the slip drive gears to the sub slip holder roller.
39. Insert two slip transmission gears into slip transmission gear main sub assembly shaft A.
40. Insert one slip transmission gear onto slip transmission gear shaft B.
41. Insert the paper feed reduction gear onto the paper feed reduction gear sub assembly shaft,
starting from the gear whose diameter is smallest. (see the illustration on the next page.)
42. Attach the J/S change spacer onto the J/S change gear.
43. Attach the J/S change gear to the top of the J/S change spacer.
44. Insert the paper feed transmission gear onto the paper feed transmission gear main sub
assembly shaft.
45. Insert E-ring 3 and E-ring 2 and 3 (5 E-rings, total). See the illustration on the next page.
46. Attach the lever drive coil assembly to the slip guide lower frame with two screws.
47. Perform phase adjustment. (See Chapter 3, "Adjusting and Setting").
Assemble the following parts when performing phase adjustment:
•Lever drive transmission gear
•Platen lever drive cam
