Why does the base unit keep beeping? weve disconnected base and batteries from handsets and waited 10 mins, put everything back and its still beeping.

The BT Elements 1K base unit may be beeping due to interference from other electrical equipment nearby, a faulty line or socket, or a battery-related issue.
