SYMPTOM
Connected extraction fan does not
start automatically.
If for any reason you do not understand the test procedures or are unable to perform the tests/repairs safely, contact your
Local Lincoln Authorized Field Service Facility for technical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Observe all Safety Guidelines detailed throughout this manual
PROBLEM
Welding light insufficient to be
detected by sensor.
Lens caps extremely dirty.
Automatic Start/Stop Arc Sensor
damaged or defective.
Motor overload protection activated.
(Starter/Overload in Mobiflex 200-M,
Thermal Relay with SF2400 Fan)
Fuse blown.
Connecting cable in arm damaged or
defective.
Hood-mounted switch or Control
Board loose or defective.
Transformer (in Control Box or
Mobiflex Control Panel) defective.
Contactor (in Control Box or Mobiflex
Control Panel) defective.
Wiring or connections loose.
AUTOMATIC START/STOP ARC SENSOR
Position the hood closer to the arc. Check
the functioning of the sensor using a striker
or bright light (or arc flash).
Clean or replace the lens caps.
If the connected extraction system oper-
ates correctly with the hood-mounted I/0
switch, check the wiring of the Sensor into
the hood-mounted switch. Replace the
Sensor if necessary.
Check the overload; if tripped, let the
machine cool down for a few minutes and
reset the overload.
Check and replace if required.
Check and replace if required.
Check and tighten or replace if required.
Check and replace if required.
Check and replace if required.
Check all connections and tighten or repair
if necessary:
• At Control Board (under hood-mounted
• In Control Box (if using SF2400 Fan
• In Control Panel (in Mobiflex 200-M)
