    2.8 PLAYBACK MODE Right-click on the screen and select the arrow as shown below. The control panel (see image below) appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. You can move the panel anywhere on the screen by dragging it with the mouse. The recorded videos are displayed on the screen in 4, 9 or 16 channels display mode.

    STANDARD OPERATION AND MENU SETUP 3.1 MAIN MENU To enter the main menu, right-click then click on the icon indicated by the cursor below. To access the main menu and set up the recorder, use the “Admin” account and the default password "123456".     3.2 RECORD SETUP Parameter Description HDD Full Select “Stop” to stop recording or “Overwrite” to re-use the hard disk when it is full. [Stop] stops the recording. [Overwrite] enables the oldest data on the hard disk to be overwritten and recording to continue. Can be set independently for each camera.

    3.3 EVENT SETUP Parameter Description Motion Setup Sets up motion detection. Sensor Setup Sets up the sensor inputs. Motion Setup Item Description Alarm Duration Sets the alarm duration (1 - 60 seconds). (seconds) Check the box to enable the "pop-up" function for all cameras: when motion is detected on a camera, Motion Pop-up it is automatically shown in full screen.
  • Page 24 Motion Area Setup The motion detection area is made up of 22 x 15 cells. During initialisation, the motion detection area takes up the entire screen. The red area corresponds to the non-detected area. The detected area is transparent. The area is shown in purple in the event of network connection.

    3.4 SCHEDULE SETUP As well as manually controlled recording, recording times can be set weekly to always record at set times, when movement is detected or a sensor is triggered. When a recording type is selected (Normal, Motion or Sensor) and a time period is selected using the mouse, the setup appears in green on the schedule.
  • Page 26 Holiday Setup As public holidays vary from country to country and from region to region, their dates must be set up (maximum: 50). Note: Recording priority: if a recording is scheduled, manual control cannot stop the recording.

    3.5 CAMERA SETUP Parameter Description Can be set independently for each channel. Sharpness Set from 0 to 15 (default: 1). Mask Check or uncheck this box to enable or disable direct view of the camera. Brightness Drag the white bar or press to adjust the brightness of the camera from 1 to 255.

    3.6 ACCOUNT SETUP The “Account Setup” menu is used to set up passwords for users and assign them rights. This menu is also used to change the admin password, which is "123456" by default. Parameter Description Check this box to enable the user account (4 user accounts maximum). Sets up each user's password.

    3.7 NETWORK SETUP The recorder manages the ADSL, DHCP and LAN connections. Parameter Description ADSL, DHCP , LAN Enables the type of network connection: ADSL, DHCP , LAN. HTTP Setup Sets up the HTTP protocol for remote access to the recorder. DDNS Setup Enables/disables and sets up the DDNS function.

Parameter Description IP Address Enter the IP address provided by the manager of your LAN. Subnet Mask Enter the IP address of the subnet mask. Gateway Enter the IP address of the gateway.

Port Enter a valid port number between 1 and 65000. Default: 80. Quality and number of frames per second for network transmission.

    3.9 SYSTEM SETUP Parameter Description DVR Name The name of the recorder will be shown when users connect remotely. DVR Location The location of the recorder will be shown when users connect remotely. Language Click or press to select the language of the screen display. Remote control Leave set at 1.

The recorder will synchronise the time automatically at reinitialisation or 24 hours after reinitialisation.     3.10 UTILITIES SETUP Parameter Description Accesses the hard disk initialisation menu. Stop recording before accessing this menu. Access the menu. The system displays all the data (model/volume) concerning the hard disk HDD Initialization installed in the recorder. Select the hard disk to be formatted, then press "Start". Hard disk initialisation is complete when the status shows "Done".

SEARCHING AND BACKING UP Use the “Search” button on the front panel or the remote control or right-click on the screen and select the magnifying glass tool in the menu below: 4.1 SEARCH Parameter Description Event Search Choose this menu to access the event search. Time search Choose this menu to access the time search.

    4.2 BACKUP Exporting recordings The user can back up any data recorded within a defined period. To do this, connect a USB peripheral to the recorder. Use the “ESC/BACKUP” button on the front panel or right-click on the screen and select the disk icon in the menu. The backup file is saved in IRF format and can be read by the drive supplied with the DVR and also included when files are backed up.

REMOTE CONNECTION Downloading and running ActiveX must be enabled in the Internet Explorer options for remote connection. 5.1 SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AND SETUP Step 1: Enter the IP address of the recorder in Internet Explorer. Step 2: A window appears. The default user name and password are “admin” and “123456” respectively. For other user account and password settings, please refer to section 3.6 "Account Setup".

    5.2 OPERATION OF THE SOFTWARE The recorder's remote control interface is user-friendly and has the same functions as the local interface. Remote recording Recordings can be saved locally on the computer. It is also possible to take snapshots on the PC from video images. Locking Click on the Lock icon to lock remote functions.

    6. MOBILE APPLICATION You can monitor all the recorder's cameras remotely from your mobile. The required mobile application is on the CD supplied with the DVR or as a free download. It runs on the Android, iPhone and Windows Mobile 5.0 (or later version) operating systems. Setting up a connection with a box For a Wi-fi connection within your LAN, use the private IP address of the DVR that you have set up, which usually starts with “192...”.
