11 Remote Access

11.1 Remote Access via Internet Explorer (IE)

For remote access from another location it's important to know the IP address of
the router of the location where the DVR is installed and connected to. To know your own
IP address, please go to website: www.whatismyip.org or www.whatsmyip.org. The
shown IP address by these websites is the address you need to enter by step 1.
Step1. Key-in the IP address of the SEC-DVR309 /SEC-DVR-316 standalone DVR
in the IE address bar to access the system remotely.
Step2. When the IE prompts to install ActiveX control, click to allow installation.
