  • Page 4: Before You Begin

    BEFORE YOU BEGIN Thank you for selecting the new PROFORM 400 ZLE manual. To help us assist you, note the product model ® elliptical. The 400 ZLE elliptical provides a selection of number and serial number before contacting us. The features designed to make your workouts at home model number and the location of the serial number more effective and enjoyable.

    ASSEMBLY Assembly requires two persons. Place all parts of the elliptical in a cleared area and remove the packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed. In addition to the included tool(s), assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench See the drawings below to identify the small parts needed for assembly.

  • Page 10 10. Using a small plastic bag to keep your hand clean, apply some of the included grease to the axle on the right side of the Upright (2). Identify the Right Upper Body Arm (9), which is marked with a “Right” sticker, and orient it as shown.
  • Page 11 12. Have a second person hold a Bushing Cover (102) over the post on the right Upper Body Leg (6). Make sure that the curved side of the Bushing Cover is facing the Upper Body Leg. Attach the Right Link Arm (98) and the Bushing Cover (102) to the right Upper Body Leg (6) with an M8 x 18mm Patch Hex Screw (85) and an M8 Washer (33).
