Chapter 2, Matrox Monarch HD Hardware and Connections
State
Indicates that Monarch HD is set to Record-only mode.
OFF
In this mode, the Stream button is disabled.
Indicates that Monarch HD is set to stream in RTSP or
Blue (solid)
RTMP mode.
Streaming in progress. If set to RTSP mode, the Stream
LED flashes when a client is currently connected to the
Monarch HD device. If set to RTMP mode, the Stream
LED flashes when a stream is started using the Stream
button on the device or when using the control buttons
Blue (flash)
in the Command Center. If a disconnection occurs
while in Stream-only mode, the LED will flash faster
while the device attempts to reconnect. The LED will
go back to the regular flashing speed once it establishes
a new connection.
Indicates a disconnection in Stream and Record mode.
The LED will stop flashing upon disconnecting (The
Blue (solid)
device is not trying to establish a new connection) and
will stay this way until it is manually restarted.
Indicates that Monarch HD is set to Stream-only mode.
OFF
In this mode, the Record button is disabled.
Indicates that Monarch HD is set to record to the
Red (solid)
selected media.
Red (flash) Recording in progress.
USB 1/USB 2 is not selected as the recording media, or
OFF
Monarch HD is set to Stream-only mode.
Red (solid) USB 1/USB 2 is selected as the recording media.
Monarch HD is currently writing to the media device
connected to USB 1/USB 2. Do not remove the USB
Red (flash)
device when its LED is flashing. Doing so may result in
corrupted video files.
