4. Remove any residual dust remaining in the dust con-
tainer and in the cyclones.
ATTENTION:
The cyclone unit must by no means get in contact with
water. Otherwise adhering dirt will clog the cyclone unit.
5. Shut the bottom plates or put the cyclone back onto the
container using firm pressure. The elements engage
with a distinct click.
6. Make sure that the elements are securely fastened to
each other.
7. Also clean or exchange the motor protection filter when
emptying the dust container. ZPage 32, "Cleaning the
dual motor protection filter".
8. Put the dust container back into place. You must feel
and hear it clicking into place.
9. Attach the hose again.
WARNING:
Danger of injury! Always switch off the appliance and dis-
connect it from the mains before cleaning it ZChapter
3.2, "Switching off and retracting power cord". Otherwise
the machine might start up and parts of your body, hair or
pieces of clothing might be sucked in.
ATTENTION:
Do not use cleaning or scouring agents or alcohol, as
these might damage the appliance's housing.
Clean the outside of the housing using a slightly damp
cloth only.
Your vacuum cleaner is equipped with the following 3 fil-
ters:
- Dual motor protection filter (Fig. 21/1, 2)
- Hygienic exhaust filter (Fig. 21/3)
The filters may get dirty with time and therefore must be
checked regularly.
Keep the checking intervals given below.
Remove dirt from the filters as described below.
Damaged or deformed filters, however, must be re-
placed immediately.
